Second Chance

Updated: Jul 7, 2021

For about a week the word that has been resonating in me is second chance. At church. At home. This word will not leave me. We all know that God is a God of a second chance. A third chance. A fourth chance. You get the picture. 2020 have taken many lives, exposed many people, and have taught us many lessons. We have had all year to prepare. To adjust. To change. To get it right. We have been given a second chance.

I don’t know about you, but God has really shown himself mighty in 2020 for our family. As I was lying in the hospital bed couldn’t breathe because of Covid. No family by my side. Just me and God. I didn’t know what was going to happen to me. Life or death. All I could do was pray. But, as I was reminded on yesterday from a text message I received, a song called Millions by The Winans, “Millions didn’t make it, but I was one of the ones who did.” God gave me a second chance! Now you may not have been sick, you may no have lost anyone this year, but if you made it to 2021, you made it OVER! You came through hard trials and tribulations. You came through Covid-19. You came through not having a job. You came through not having enough to having just enough. You made it over.

God is giving us a second chance to get our lives in alignment with His. So, we have tried it our way and it has not worked, now its time to do it His way. He is tired of marriages with no covenant. He tired of families with no love. He is tired of religion with no relationship. He is tired of tradition with no leadership. He is tired of performance with no worship. God is looking for true men and women of God, true worshippers, true prophets, true leaders, true intercessors, true churches that are TRUE to His word. So in 2021 and beyond, this is our second chance. Second chance with our families. Second chance to get in our rightful places for such a time as this. Second chance in God. Don’t waste it. I know I won’t.
